VNPF Signs MOU with VIPA

A Memorandum of Understanding signed on 6th May 2016 between the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority (VIPA) and the Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) now enables both entities to update their respective data bases so that future dealings between them will be a simple and consistent process.

VIPA BEGINS GRANTING 5 YEAR FOREIGN CERTIFICATE APPROVAL

March 19, 2016

It is now possible for foreign investors who are investing in Vanuatu and who are interested in holding a five year Foreign Investment Approval Certificate (FIAC) to do so. The five year FIAC will entitle the holders to apply to the Department of Immigration & Passport Services for a five-year residence permit as well to guarantee the security of their business investments in Vanuatu.

NOTICE TO INVESTORS IN THE TOURISM INDUSTRY

Following amendments made to the Business License Act, CAP 249, a collective decision was made for existing foreign investors and investments involved in tourism related activities to incorporate changes to be consistent with new categories of business licensed activities.
